Large Water Damaged Apartment Building

During the construction of this apartment a storm had started and thoroughly soaked the building. The carpets had not even been laid in the building yet which saved the company a lot of money as they did not have to replace it.

We worked with the builders trying to avoid having to demo any of the drywall. We added the dehumidifiers right away in hopes that the walls could be salvaged. However, in the end the walls were too wet and difficult to dry due to the metal studs.

Metal studs are placed inside a U-shaped channel which held the water and kept it from drying out. We took out only what was needed in the heavily wet areas but were able to salvage the rest.
